Paul was born in Lancashire and studied Architecture in Liverpool, UK. During his studies, a tour to Florence, Italy, sparked a lifelong fascination with the Roman Empire. His career in retail property has taken him across the globe, providing rich backdrops for his novels, beginning with his debut, The Moroccan Manuscript.

The COVID lockdown offered Paul the opportunity to fulfil his long-held ambition to write. His monthly column in assetmag.co.za inspired his first non-fiction book, Walk a Mall in My Shoes, later updated post-COVID as Walk (Another) Mall in My Shoes! and followed by Good Goods Sell Ass End Upwards?

Paul lives in Cape Town, South Africa, with his wife Jan. They have two adult children: Stephen, a professional race car driver based in the USA, and Natalie, a Marketing Consultant in the UK.
